| Description: 1,000 cfs squeeze through a 12-foot wide slot at the head of Timpoweap Canyon--a limestone gorge cutting through the Hurricane Front, just east of La Verkin. The gorge becomes deeper and narrower the farther downstream it goes. The diversion dam is still a couple of miles downstream from here. |
